Dr. Jessica King Bailey is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in pediatric and health psychology. Dr. Bailey specializes in the complex interaction between health, wellness and our everyday lives and has extensive knowledge about the impact of complex and chronic medical diagnoses on the functioning of adolescents, young adults and families. Her expertise in complex anxiety and traumatic stress disorders throughout the lifespan serves as a foundational knowledge base in her work with clients. Dr. Bailey has worked in a wide variety of settings including collegiate, inpatient, residential, outpatient, and medical environments with culturally and ethnically diverse and minority populations.
Dr. Bailey considers her clinical work to be mindful, trauma focused, client-guided and integrative. She applies evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Dr. Bailey is committed to culturally appropriate care and is a gender and sexuality affirming provider, ally, and a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ population.
Dr. Bailey completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky in 2017. She completed her residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She continued her training in pediatric psychology with her postdoctoral fellowship at St. Vincent’s Center for Children (now Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent) in Evansville, Indiana. Dr. Bailey comes to CWW after several years as an Attending psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital working with a diverse patient population with complex medical and psychological diagnoses. Dr. Bailey also serves as a consultant for Healthy Gamer Foundation and is an instructor for Eastern Kentucky University, where she obtained her Bachelor's (BA) and master's degrees (MA) in psychology.
