Undergraduate Internship in Professional Psychology

Columbus Women’s Wellness - Psychological & Consulting Services offers internship opportunities to undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a professional career in the field of psychology and/or mental health. Invitations to the CWW UG Internship Program are offered to current students enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of college, majoring in psychology, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Importantly, qualified candidates shall reflect a demonstrated interest and desire to pursue a graduate education to support their goals in professional psychology practice.

CWW Internships are typically offered each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer) to 1-3 students. Information about upcoming internship cycles are posted here approximately 1-2 months prior to the start of the next internship offering. Please note that applications are closed for Fall 2025 and will open again for Spring 2026.

CWW’s UG Internship Program is designed to promote both professional and clinical skills. The Intern(s) work(s) directly with clinical providers, practice management, and operational staff to build applicable knowledge and skill set that will help prepare the student professionally and/or for graduate education. The internship role will provide a strong foundation to a comprehensive professional psychology knowledge base. Successful interns are offered a letter of recommendation for graduate school application packages from Dr. Jennifer R. Jones and/or other CWW clinical providers.

Interns are asked to commit 6-10 hours per week and are compensated at a competitive hourly rate of $17.50 per hour.

  • Columbus Women’s Wellness’s Undergraduate Internship in Professional Psychology is a highly competitive appointment and not all applicants will be invited to interview. Applicants should be prepared for a professional, in-person interview with Dr. Jennifer R. Jones, practice management, and/or other CWW clinical providers for consideration of the UG Internship.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • In-person interviews are required. If invited to interview, you will be offered the choice of two (2) times from which to choose to interview. We are unable to accommodate alternative interview dates or virtual interview requests. Interview Day practice location is to be determined and you will be notified of practice location in your invitation email..

  • Start date for internship is TBD.

  • Internship locale may vary throughout the semester and may include all 3 practice locations over the semester.

Monae Braxton & Brielle Newland

Congratulations to Monae Braxton and Brielle Newland on an amazing summer semester as Undergraduate Interns in Professional Psychology at Columbus Women's Wellness. 

These two amazing students shined over the last few months gaining valuable experience in the field of psychology. Monae, who will no doubt have a successful career in forensics, brought a valuable warmth and intellect to the Gahanna office supporting all aspects of our main practice location. Brielle expanded her knowledge in specific clinical areas and learned the ins-and-outs of practice operations at CWW - Upper Arlington. Keep an eye out for these two future psychologists - We will see their names many times in the future!.
